Android’s ‘The Bot’ figures now available in the UK

After several new takes since Android’s “The Bot” mascot came to the Google Store in the US, it’s the turn of those of us located elsewhere as the collectible figures are now available in the UK.

The “Bot” collectible figure has been available in the UK for a little while but was initially limited. However, if you were unable to grab one, you now should have better luck. The downside is that “The Bot” figures come at a significant markup compared to their US counterparts.

Due to Brexit and associated UK import taxes, unless you put in a significant order directly from the Dead Zebra website in the US, this is the only other way to get hold of the collectible “Bot” figures via an official channel. The biggest downside here is the pricing. At £22.60 plus a substantial £6.50 shipping charge, these are very expensive accessories for Android fans.

However, you can get the glow-in-the-dark figurine and the recently released “Android Holiday Figurine,” which comes complete with a Christmas jumper and a fisherman’s beanie. The updated “Bot” figurine is also available again after a substantial restock. Initially, it was limited to just 200 units but has since been restocked.

We’re still getting a significant upcharge over our US-based pals. If you order each figure separately, you’ll pay almost $6 more per collectible. That doesn’t seem all that bad in isolation, but once exchange rates are factored in, it’s almost $18 more than ordered from the Dead Zebra website.

Painful prices aside, we can at least get the official “Bot” figures in the UK from a reputable storefront…just grit your teeth when ordering.

It’s also worth noting that you can buy from other global regions using the UK storefront. However, the pricing is locked to GBP and you will pay a substantial shipping fee plus any associated import taxes when the item arrives in your country. All orders are fulfilled by the UK-based Brand Additions, which ships items directly from their warehouse.
