Netflix released a trailer for a new comedy special from Anthony Jeselnik.
The trailer manages to promote his latest special by showing Jeselnik delivering just one joke which is exactly the sort of vulgar twist comedy that his fans have come to love and expect.
The special is titled Anthony Jeselnik: Bones and All and will be released on the streaming service on Tuesday, Nov. 26. See the first look at the special (and we won’t spoil the joke by writing it) below.
The 45-year-old comic is known for his deadpan, minimalistic comedy style mixed with pushing-the-boundaries humor. The release marks his first Netflix special in four years following 2019’s Fire in the Maternity Ward. His previous special was 2015’s Thoughts and Prayers, and before that came 2013’s Caligula for Comedy Central, which followed the performer’s 2010 debut album, Shakespeare.
He credits his 2010 appearance on The Comedy Central Roast Of Donald Trump as his breakout moment. “When I got on the Roast, I remember just realizing halfway through the show, because I was going up late, that I was just so much meaner and harder than everybody else,” he said. “My biggest fear was coming off weak or not strong enough, so I really overdid it and went up and just… that was one of my favorite moments of my life was doing that Trump Roast, because no one knew who I was and it just really caught everybody by surprise. And the next day, my life was completely different.”
Jeselnik is also known for his Comedy Central roast appearances and his series Good Talk and The Jeselnik Offensive.
Bones and All is executive produced by Jeselnik, Christie Smith, Ally Engelberg, Marc Lieberman and directed by Bill Benz.
