Apple may soon discontinue its Lightning to 3.5mm headphone jack adapter, which was launched in 2016 alongside the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. As per Macrumors, the company has listed the adapter ‘Sold Out’ on its US website and in other countries. Additionally, the product is only available in a bunch of countries, including France, Denmark, Finland, Norway, and Sweden.
To recall, the tech giant introduced its 3.5mm headphone jack with iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. It used to be included inside the iPhone 7, iPhone 8, and X box, but after the iPhone XS and XR launched the company asked to purchase the adapter separately. This was the first time when Apple ditched its headphone jack and introduced the iconic lightning headphone adapter. If the company is planning to discontinue its lightning adapter, then this might be an end of an era.
