Finalists for the 2024 App Store Awards have been officially revealed by Apple. The technology behemoth has identified the best 45 games and apps for its Mac, iPhone, and iPad.
Through the App Store Awards, Apple recognises outstanding user experience, design, and innovation from developers all over the world by awarding the top games and apps each year. These apps and games, which feature 45 nominees in 12 categories, have improved user connections with friends and family, increased productivity, and encouraged creativity.

The business claims that this year’s awards feature a brand-new Apple Vision Pro category that highlights accomplishments in spatial computing. In the upcoming weeks, the App Store Award winners selected from this esteemed group of game and app developers will be revealed.
By offering individualised tools and user-friendly features, turning ordinary moments into cinematic masterpieces, providing customised training plans, and keeping travellers organised and stress-free, the iPhone App of the Year finalists—Kino, Runna, and Tripsy—have transformed real-life experiences.
The WereCleaner, which offers humorous gameplay, Zenless Zone Zero, which immerses players in action-packed plots, and AFK Journey, which crafts magical worlds with exciting combat, are among the finalists for iPhone Game of the Year.
iPad App of the Year Finalists include Bluey: Let’s Play, Moises, and Procreate Dreams, which inspire imaginative play and creativity with their loveable characters, AI-powered music practice, and animated stories.
Finalists for iPad Game of the Year include Assassin’s Creed Mirage, Disney Speedstorm, and Squad Busters, which are all known for their dynamic storytelling, gorgeously designed settings, new approaches to narrative-driven adventure, high-speed racing, and amusing gameplay.
Balatro+, Outlanders 2, and Sonic Dream Team are among the contenders for Apple Arcade Game of the Year, each delivering a distinct and engaging card gaming experience. Balatro+ is an exciting card game, Outlanders 2 features updated visuals and inventive levels, and Sonic Dream Team delivers new adventures for familiar characters.
The nominees for Mac App of the Year are Adobe Lightroom, OmniFocus 4, and Shaper3D, all of which provide AI-powered picture editing, task management, and 3D design workflows, therefore improving user experience and productivity.
Mac Game of the Year Finalists include Frostpunk 2, Stray, and Thank Goodness You’re Here!, each offering unique protagonists, visual style, and endless fun, showcasing the genre’s expansion, mystery and playfulness in its dark world, and nonstop humour and absurdity.
The Apple Watch App of the Year Finalists include LookUp, which improves vocabulary with daily definitions, Lumy, which connects users to the cycles of the sun and moon, and Watch to 5K, which gives runners a push to the finish line.
The Apple Vision Pro App of the Year category has three finalists: JigSpace, NBA, and What If…? An immersive story. JigSpace allows users to look at 3D and augmented reality models, while NBA redefines sports viewing. What if…? An Immersive Story debuts a new Marvel experience.
Apple Vision Pro Game of the Year Finalists include Loóna, which offers relaxing puzzles, THRASHER, which introduces smooth controls and an alien world, and Vacation Simulator, which takes players to destinations filled with funny characters and activities.
