Cleaning up after Christmas is never a chore anyone enjoys, especially when cleaning anything related to the oven.
Whether it’s the roasting dish you’ve used to cook your potatoes, meat or vegetables, these things can get stained and be a nightmare to clean if left to sit overnight.
If this is the case, one natural product that could sort it out so the grime “easily comes off” and works well for your hob and oven, too.
One woman took to the Mrs Hinch Army Cleaning Tips Facebook page to ask for advice on how to clean a dish she had previously used to cook honey mustard-roasted carrots.
Samantha Hill said: “New to this group but would love some help with getting this clean. It’s honey and mustard that’s welded to the roasting dish from cooking my carrots.”

Group members in the comments section offered a flurry of suggestions, and the most common and quickest was to use soda crystals.
Susan Hale wrote: “I only discovered soda crystals a few months ago and it’s been a game changer. Deffo soda crystals and a kettle of hot water and leave for a few minutes.”
Natalie Steel said: “Cover with soda crystals and boiling water then leave for five minutes. Sorted.”

Justine Watkins suggested: “Soda crystals and hot water are great. The grease just floats off.”
Ashleigh Wood said: “Fill with hot water and soda crystals. Put on the hob and bring to a boil for five minutes.
“Don’t know how it works and when my mum told me this I laughed in her face, but when I tried it, the grease melted off. It worked so well.”
According to soda crystals manufacturer Dri-Pak, this natural product is “excellent for dissolving grease and working on stubborn, burnt-on food”.
For those cleaning their greasy oven dishes immediately, sprinkle on dry crystals while the tray is hot. Leave to stand for a few minutes so the crystals soak up the fat, then scrape the mixture into the bin.
