Strictly Come Dancing host Tess Daly had a secret on-screen struggle during the semi-final of the competition, her husband has claimed.
Vernon Kay as revealed the moment the presenter fought back the tears and struggled to continue during last weekend's show. He explained how his 55-year-old wife was overcome with emotion during a contestant's touching speech.
It comes as professional dancer Dianne Buswell heaped the praise on her partner Chris McCausland. She proudly said: "I have taught Chris all this time without a single visual cue," referring to the comedian's blindness after he lost his sight aged 22.
"He's not been able to look at a video back to see if he did a great job or needs to work on anything. He's never been able to see his competitors, yet he's seen this competition so well because he's captured the spirit of the show. I could not be more proud of him. He has shown that anything is possible."

And now, speaking to The Sun, Vernon has revealed just how much the moment got to his wife. He said: "Chris has done absolutely amazingly and Dianne had everyone in tears in the semi-final when she said, look, Chris hasn't seen other people dance.
He went on to praise the star and all he has achieved in the competition before adding of Dianne's speech: "It just struck a cord and touched everyone in the studio. Tess was in tears and she had to really fight back tears when she did the next link to introduce the next dancer."
Vernon admitted the feel-good factor the moment brought is what the show is all about. "Watching it makes you feel good," he gushed. Chris remains the favourite to be crowned this series' winner and lift the coveted glitterball trophy. However, he sparked concern on It Takes Two earlier in the week when he said he was feeling "worn down".
In an honest admission to the hosts, Chris said he didn't feel as though he had recovered from the weekend's action. He explained he felt "worn down" and "fell apart a bit" on Saturday following the show. He said: "I haven't really truly recovered. It's been an emotional few days this week for me.
"I feel worn down. My resilience has been worn down. I kind of fell apart a bit on Saturday, and I haven't fully recovered, and then we've been training this week, and I've had a few wobbles. A few emotional wobbles. It's incredible but I'm still feeling quite emotional."
