Sarah made an emotional confession about her bestie Miranda

Strictly’s Sarah Hadland and Miranda Hart have been at each other’s sides through some of the toughest times.

Actress Sarah Hadland has been impressing the viewers and judges on this year’s Strictly Come Dancing with her "beautiful" performances. But one of her biggest fans is the 53 year old’s best pal Miranda Hart. The Call The Midwife star, 51, snuck into Sarah and professional partner Vito Coppola’s rehearsals recently to surprise her mate where she pretended to give them choreography advice.

Despite the jokes, Miranda became overwhelmed with emotion as she told Sarah and Vito: "I love you, I love watching you so much. I’m so grateful that you’re looking after my friend. I’m going to cry."

The two stars clearly share the closest of bonds and have done since they met on the set of BBC sitcom Miranda. Sarah, who played Stevie in the hit show, previously told The Sun how privileged she felt to have had the opportunity to work on the show but what the best bit of it was: "I feel lucky to have done a job that has given me a good friend for life," she said.

Miranda hit the headlines recently when she revealed she had secretly got married. She explained that she came to the realisation she didn’t want to be alone anymore after suffering with Lyme disease, which she wrote about in her book I Haven't Been Entirely Honest with You. Sarah was elated for her bestie and told Closer: "I’m absolutely over the moon for her. When you have a dear friend and they find the love of their life... I’m just so happy."

The two have been through some tough times together though too, with Miranda having revealed that Sarah is there by her side in real life just like Stevie was for her character. Mum of one Sarah also praised her pal for being there when she became very ill after they travelled to Uganda for Sport Relief.

She told the BBC: "What people may not know is that she is a brilliant nurse. I got very ill, and we were stranded on an island on a lake. She looked after me so well. I have always teased her for carrying round odd bits of food and various medicines in her bag, but her Mary Poppins bag saved me and she was such a good nurse."
