BBC The Traitors Charlotte 'loving the power' as Freddie's fate hangs in balance

3 hours ago 1

Ahead of the nail-biting Traitors final on Friday night, viewers were left stunned when traitor Charlotte threw her fellow companion Minah under the bus at the round table.

Adding fuel to the fire, Charlotte decided to leave Freddie with an ultimatium to join her as a traitor or be murdered and leave the game as a faithful. Trying to pull a blinder to the final, Charlotte knew the group were already suspecting him.

This has left Freddie extremely vulnerable when he accepted, as the pair also chose to murder Leanne who unbeknown to Freddie is protected by a shield, meaning mounting suspicions are hanging over him as only one of two people who didn't know.

According to a body language expert, Charlotte appears to be "loving the power," of double crossing the other contestants on the BBC show in an attempt to make it to the final and grab the cash for herself.

Meanwhile Freddie "daren’t go against Charlotte" as he recognises she is a "strong character "and is "intimidated" by his fellow contestant, says expert Darren Stanton.

Minah Shannon had been the favourite to win before she recruited Charlotte

Speaking on behalf of Spin Genie, body language expert Darren Stanton says: "Charlotte is scary! She loves it, she’s loving the power. She flashes duping delight, that satisfying feeling of getting away with something you shouldn’t. Her face, the elation on her face that she’s recruited Freddie and the fact she talks about ‘throwing him under the bus’ she’s here for herself and is here to win. It’s like a shark, a shark is a predator and doesn’t care who gets in the way. It’s whatever that person wants.

Elsewhere, he says while Charlotte is ‘here to win’, Darren worries it’s possible her plan could ‘backfire’ and there is huge ‘risk’ involved with her expected move.

He also pointed out that Freddie is 'vulnerable' and how the decision to murder Leanne has been a 'real problem.' He continued: “Freddie’s quite sweet in a way, he’s quite vulnerable now and is friends with Leanne. We know Charlotte wants to murder Leanne for strategic reasons. In terms of body language, Freddie has a real problem with doing this morally but he daren’t go against Charlotte as she is a very strong character, very cunning.

"That’s why she’s got away with it so far, she’s very good at manipulating the optics. Like he said, he didn’t have a clue she was a Traitor, and no one else did. Freddie has a problem, non-verbally, when it was first suggested, he pulled a microexpression of sadness and fear. He knows his only choice to stay in the game is to go with it, but he doesn’t really want to. It’s a big moral dilemma for him. It was an ultimatum as Charlotte said."
