Ben Affleck & Jennifer Lopez Settle Their Divorce -- Details HERE!

It’s over for Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez.

OK, so it’s been over for the two of them for a while. We pretty much knew through the majority of 2024 that these two were not going to make it! But now, their marriage is officially (as in, legally!) done-zo because the divorce settlement is coming through!

According to a Monday afternoon report by TMZ, the A-list duo has officially settled their divorce. Voila! And in another six-ish weeks — on February 20, which will be exactly six months after J.Lo first pulled the plug — their marriage will officially be over in the eyes of the courts.

Basically, the terms of the settlement are remarkably simple: each party walks away with the money and assets they individually acquired during their ill-fated union. That means that all the movie money Ben made during their 2-year marriage remains with him. As does all the music and movie money that J.Lo earned for her various work projects that popped up while they were together. Easy peasy!

This very simple divorce settlement is actually a big deal for the Argo star, because it means that he’s going to keep his entire stake in the production company Artists Equity that he and longtime pal and co-collaborator Matt Damon created back in 2022. As you may recall, there had been concern that Damon and the production company could be dragged into the divorce proceedings. But that’s off the table now with Ben and Jen each choosing to go their separate ways financially.

One other major note here: they have apparently reached an agreement on what to do with that infamous $61 million house they bought together.

Also per TMZ, the pair came to a settlement on how to best sell the house and divvy up the profits — buuuut the terms of that settlement are confidential. So, we don’t know exactly what the house happenings entail. Based on that outlet’s reporting, it sounds like things are smooth with that. (FYI, the house is still on the market… and might be for a very long while.)

Anyways, this is definitely a simple and straightforward settlement. And it was moderated by none other than the so-called “disso queen” herself — Laura Wasser. We wonder if Kim Kardashian sat in on any of the Bennifer-related mediation moments to gather more fodder for the reality TV star’s new on-air role — and/or her possible new career! Ha!

Jokes aside, the smooth Bennifer divorce is also a big deal considering the pair got hitched without a prenup!! That’s unheard of for two A-listers in this day and age. But it sounds like they made a clean break with no lingering legal or financial drama in spite of their lack of pre-marriage contractual moves. Hey, in that regard, good for them. Ya know?!
