It's the first Thanksgiving since Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck's divorce, with the actor choosing to spend the holiday with his ex-wife, Jennifer Garner.
The former spouses spent the day as a family, serving homeless people meals at the the Midnight Mission charity event with their three children, Violet, 18, Seraphina, 15, and Samuel, 12.

In a photo posted to Instagram, the former couple were seen sporting aprons with the the Midnight Mission logo on them as they served meals in Los Angeles.
The organisation wrote, "Today, we were honored to have Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner join us at The Midnight Mission for Thanksgiving! Their kindness, warmth, and dedication brought so much joy to our Skid Row community.
"Thank you, Ben and Jennifer, for serving meals and sharing smiles on this special day. Your compassion reminds us all of the true meaning of Thanksgiving – coming together to support one another."

In an Instagram video for the organisation, Affleck shared, "I've been involved in the Midnight Mission for a while. I've had the opportunity to see what's going on down here.
"I have a lot of respect for the organisation and the work that's done and I'm really just honored that, they let me come down and contribute.
"I had a chance today to bring down my kids and let them help out too, which I think is really valuable for them. And it's just this great organisation does really important, great work and I'm proud to be associated with it."

Wearing a beige floral sweater with pops of brown in theme with the holiday, the star wrote, "I hope everybody had a beautiful and Happy Thanksgiving. I am so incredibly grateful for all of you."
