One Benidorm star looks completely different as he stars in a brand new crime drama.
ITV star Josh Bolt, who played Rob Dawson on the sun-soaked show, has now been signed up to a role in a new drama. The star looked all grown up during his new part in Channel 5's Vera-rival, police drama, Ellis.
Ellis is a British crime drama television series on Channel 5 starring Sharon D. Clarke. The show first premiered on 31 October 2024.
A far cry from his former cheeky chappie ITV role, the actor is now the part of DI Archie Dent on the programme started last year.
Many fans have been excited to see him head into a new direction and have taken to social media to share their thoughts. Some viewers were loving his performance in Ellis whilst others reminisced his role on the ITV show and begged for producers to "bring it back".
Josh previously starred on Benidorm for two years in 2016 before it eventually came off air. The star recently took to social media to highlight the fact it had been a decade since he first filmed for Benidorm.
He wrote: "9 years ago today the Dawsons made their debut on Benidorm It was 10 years ago in April we started filming it that is wild." Josh paired his note with a snap of the Dawson family from their first episode on the ITV series.
Fans flooded the comment section, with one writing: "Wish they would bring this show back." A second added: "About time for a reunion"
While a third penned: "Wish they bring it back." A fourth posted: "I miss Benidorm, it was so British."
Last year, Josh met up with two of his co-stars for a catch-up which sparked more reunion rumours. He shared a snap with Steve Edge and Selina Griffiths as fans gushed over the reunion selfie.
