Jay-Z and Beyoncé put on a united family front after he faced allegations of raping a minor.

The billionaire, whose real name is Shawn Corey Carter, is facing allegations in a civil law suit that he raped a 13-year-old after the 2000 MTV Music Video Awards. The 55-year-old vehemently denies the claims.

He has put on a strong front with his family following the allegations, making an appearance at the LA premiere of Disney's Mufasa: The Lion King, posing on the red carpet alongside his wife and their 12-year-old daughter Blue Ivy.

Blue is known for dancing on Beyonce's Renaissance world tour, making surprise appearances alongside her superstar mother everywhere from London to Paris. She is close to both her parents, going viral back in 2018 when she hilariously urged them to calm down at the 2018 Grammys.

In a rare interview, Jay Z told US broadcaster Gayle King last year that his daughter has mixed feelings on whether she thinks her parents are cool. "Blue, she's been fronting on me a little bit... but I catch her in the corner," he revealed. "You know now she asked me if I think this is cool, like my opinion on the sneakers she's wearing.

"She's come back. There was a time where she was like 'Dad!' I was like 'I'm cool! I don't know what you're saying. At your house, your parents are cool!'"

The power music couple have three children in total, with Blue Ivy the oldest sibling followed by boy-girl twins Rumi and Sir, 7. Their eldest daughter's name was meant to be Brooklyn, after the New York neighbourhood the rapper grew up in.

"It was supposed to be Brooklyn, that was the name we had in theory," said Jay Z. "Like: 'Look at the little blueberry!' It was like a nickname. For nine months we were like: 'Look at the little blueberry'. So it was just natural ,we just took the 'berry' off and called her Blue."

Speaking of his daughter's performances in front of tens of thousands of fans across the globe alongside her famous mother, the star added he was 'super proud.' "Since she was born, she's been in, like, scrutiny and public eye and everyone having an opinion of, even a little girl, how she keeps her hair," he said. "I know her, so I know how nervous she was. I know how frightened she was" performing in front of 80,000 people.

"She wanted to do it the first night and we was like: 'OK, if this is something you wanna do, you can't just go out there'. You gotta go work with the dancers and go work. And she worked every day and (I) watched her work hard."
