They were once Hollywood's Golden Couple but now Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are officially divorced.
According to court documents obtained by TMZ the Oscar winners, who share six children, have reached a settlement after a mammoth eight year battle.
Actress Angelina's lawyer James Simon confirmed: "More than eight years ago, Angelina filed for divorce from Mr Pitt. She and the children left all of the properties they had shared with Mr Pitt, and since that time she has focused on finding peace and healing for their family. This is just one part of a long ongoing process that started eight years ago. Frankly, Angelina is exhausted, but she is relieved this one part is over." Brad's lawyer is yet to comment.
Brad, 61, was famously married to Friends star Jennifer Aniston back in 2004 when he met his future wife on the set of Mr and Mrs Smith. By 2005 'Brangelina', who played a married couple hiding a big secret from each other in the movie, had gone public and Jennifer said her ex had a 'sensitivity chip' missing.

But just two years later, Angelina filed for divorce from Brad citing 'irreconcilable differences'. The couple had taken a private jet flight from Europe, with the actress claiming her then husband was abusive towards her and their children. Brad has always denied the allegation and was cleared by authorities following an investigation.
Today, the Fight Club star's older children - his six kids range in age from 23 to 16 - are said to be 'adamant' they no longer want a relationship with him. His eldest daughter Zahara dropped his surname last year followed by her sister Shiloh, who requested a legal name change from Shiloh Jolie-Pitt to Shiloh Jolie when she turned 18.
Brad's daughter Vivienne, 16, was credited as a producer on her mother's Broadway production The Outsiders as Vivienne Jolie and in November last year, Zahara introduced herself as Zahara Marley Jolie as she joined the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority at Spelman College.
The star's son Pax has been the most outspoken against his adopted father, allegedly calling him a "f***ing awful father" and "world class a**hole." According to Mail Online, who cited a private Instagram account, Pax posted a bitter rant about Brad in 2020, when he was 16. He allegedly wrote: "Happy Father's Day to this world class a***hole. You time and time and again prove yourself to be a terrible and despicable person. You have no consideration or empathy toward your four youngest children who tremble in fear when in your presence."
In response to the sweary rant, last year a source claimed that Brad found it "depressing to see this dragged up." Speaking to The Sun, they said: "It's frustrating to see Brad being painted as some kind of ''bad person'; when it's far from the truth." The alleged insider claimed that despite the scathing rant, Brad has "great respect" for each of his kids, and stated that it speaks volumes that he "chooses to keep a dignified silence" about the unearthed post.
According to another source on Brad's side, speaking to In Touch Magazine, the Fight Club star has started going to therapy and has quit drinking to show his children he's changed. He is said to continually be reaching out to his children to tell them he loves them. 'He can't stop hoping this could be the year they come around,' they said, adding that he wants to 'save his family'.

Angelina, with a net worth of £96 million, has opted to forgo spousal and family support from her ex-husband, who is now dating jewellery designer Ines de Ramon, 34.
The pair remain opponents in a lawsuit over the French winery they purchased together, which produces the celebrated Miraval rosé wine brand. Following their break-up, Brad sued Angelina after she sold her share of their winery to a Russian oligarch's company without his permission. While Brad faced a recent legal win, the settlement is said to be far from over.
Last month, a judge ruled that Brad must disclose documents that Paul Murphy, a lawyer for Jolie, claimed will prove 'communications concerning abuse, lies to authorities, and years of cover up' on the actor's part.
Brad's legal team previously sought for the motion to be denied, dismissing Angelina's requests as 'wide-ranging and intrusive' as well as a 'sensationalist fishing expedition'. The Maleficent star's team argued the documents were 'crucial evidence' that Brad has 'fought for years to hide'.
Angelina's lawyer said in a statement: "I want to again emphasise that Angelina never wanted any of this. She never pressed charges, she left all their properties, and she is the one who tried to sell him the business in the first place. She wants this to end, the children want this to end, and Mr. Pitt should focus on healing their family, not pursuing lawsuits."
