TOWIE star Lauren Goodger has "set records straight" after news broke recently that her ex, Mark Wright and his wife Michelle Keegan are expecting a baby.
Issuing an update, Lauren explained that despite speculation suggesting that she is "devastated" by news that her ex is expecting his first child, she is anything but: "Let's get things straight. I'm not anxious, upset, or planning to leave Essex, and it didn't ruin my Christmas!"
While saying that she doesn't feel any negativity towards Mark's exciting news, she explained that she can see both sides of people's reactions.
She told Closer magazine: "I get it - people will always be fascinated because Mark and I were on TV together and I always seem to get dragged back into stories about him, but how can I be devastated?"

Dave Benett/Getty Images)Despite suggestions from some that she's taken the news badly, she added that she's happy for the 37-year-old and is focused on her own life: "I'm so happy he's going to be a dad, and I mean it. I've fallen in love and had two kids since (Lauren sadly lost her daughter Lorena after giving birth in July 2022 after complications) and he's a married man. It doesn't affect my life whether Mark is having a baby, I'm not obsessed with him, my life will carry on."
Revealing that she received messages from family and friends after Michelle and Mark's news had broke asking whether she was okay, she explained that she didn't truly understand their reaction as she said: "I wish Mark and his family well and I’m sure (Mark’s mum) Carol’s over the moon, there’s no bad feeling on my part.
"I'd never usually talk about him but it's unfair for me to sit quiet when assumptions are made about me."
Having met whilst in high school, Lauren and Mark began dating as teenagers before they both found fame on ITV's The Only Way Is Essex in 2010. The pair were thrust into the public spotlight in the years that followed, but it was in 2012 that it was revealed that the pair would be separating.
Now, 13 years down the line and nearly 10 years since they tied the knot, former Coronation Street star Michelle Keegan and Mark are expecting their first child together later this year.
News that they are expecting their first child together came on December 29, when the pair posted a picture on Instagram of Michelle holding her bump with a cryptic message reading "2025 is going to be a special one for us..."
