In the three months since the launch of Hallmark+, the network’s new-and-improved streamer, one of the biggest complaints from users has been the lack of recent movies. Though the platform has featured hundreds of Hallmark classics, few movies from Hallmark Channel and Hallmark Mystery’s 2024 have been available to stream — until now.
On December 18, 2024, Hallmark execs made the surprise announcement that beginning in 2025, every new original movie airing on Hallmark Channel and Hallmark Mystery will be available to stream the next day on Hallmark+, according to Variety. In addition, dozens of 2024 Christmas movies are being added to Hallmark+.
The news has already thrilled fans and multiple stars who’ve commented on the change, and it comes days after another big switch, when Hallmark reversed its decision to make “The Way Home” season 3 premiere only available on Hallmark+. It will now also premiere on Hallmark Channel on January 3, 2025, and streaming on Hallmark+ the next day.
Dozens of 2024 Hallmark Channel Christmas Movies Are Being Added to Hallmark+ This Week
Until this announcement, Hallmark executive vice president Lisa Hamilton Daly had maintained that the streaming platform would feature totally separate content from Hallmark’s linear networks, per Variety. But with the change, Hallmark+ members will gain access to all 2024 holiday content that’s aired on Hallmark Channel or Hallmark Mystery.
Hallmark’s deal with Peacock will also continue, Variety said, which allows Hallmark originals to stream on that platform for the first three days after they air on one of the linear cable channels.

They are “Following Yonder Star,” “The Christmas Quest,” “Santa Tell Me,” “Holiday Crashers,” “Five Gold Rings,” “A Reason for the Season,” “All I Need for Christmas,” “Jingle Bell Run,” “Sugarplummed,” “Private Princess Christmas,” “Scouting For Christmas,” and “Debbie Macomber’s Joyful Mrs. Miracle.”
