The Broncos player posted to X "Cmon man what we supposed to do when he sliding," which can only be taken as a reference to an immediately notorious call regarding Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes.

Late in the third quarter of the divisional-round matchup between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Houston Texans, Patrick Mahomes found himself scrambling away from the Texans' defense, led by Folorunso Fatukasi and Henry To'oTo'o.

As Mahomes slid to the ground in an effort to avoid the oncoming pressure, the two defenders collided with each other while Mahomes was already on the ground.

Despite this, the officials threw a 15-yard unnecessary roughness penalty against the Texans for the hit, extending the Chiefs' drive.

Kansas City took full advantage of the penalty, marching 81 yards on 13 plays before Mahomes connected with Travis Kelce for an 11-yard touchdown pass, increasing their lead to 20-12.

This sequence added fuel to the ongoing controversy over the Chiefs' favorable treatment by officials.

Earlier in the game, Will Anderson Jr. was flagged for roughing the passer, even though replays showed he didn't hit Mahomes in the head, as initially called.

But it was the penalty on the third-quarter scramble that really raised eyebrows. The play, where Mahomes slid under the two defenders, appeared harmless, yet the collision between Fatukasi and To'oTo'o was enough for Clay Martin to throw the flag.

The Chiefs, who had already been accused of receiving favorable calls in the past, benefited once again with 15 more yards, keeping their drive alive and extending their advantage.

The Chiefs-Texans game has been full of drama, both on and off the field. One of the most notable moments came when Texans cornerback Kris Boyd became the center of attention. After a fumble recovery, Boyd was seen shoving special teams coach Frank Ross near the sideline.

While emotional flare-ups are to be expected in high-pressure playoff games, it's concerning when a player's frustration leads to an outburst toward a coach.

Although it's unlikely that Boyd will face formal punishment for the incident, the situation could still lead to internal discipline.

The optics of a player physically confronting a coach during such a heated moment may prompt the team to address the behavior privately.
