With her long-teased Invasion of Privacy follow-up now confirmed to be finished, and with an appearance on the Smurfs soundtrack on the horizon, Cardi B is giving fans even more with the release of a new song with Pardison Fontaine.

Titled “Toot It Up,” the track’s rollout comes amid social media controversy over Cardi’s decision to work with Fontaine, with some fans pointing to his split from Megan Thee Stallion. Cardi, who previously worked with Megan on “WAP” and “Bongos,” directly addressed the chatter in a recent X Spaces session, at first noting that her and Fontaine’s friendship extends back to 2012.

“When I fuck with two people and I like two people, I stay away from their shit because when it comes to relationships, some bullshit will always happen,” Cardi pointed out. “One thing about me, I’m gonna stay neutral and I’m gonna stay the fuck out of it.”

“Toot It Up” is out now. Stream it here on Apple Music, Tidal, and Spotify.

During the same X Spaces session mentioned above, Cardi told fans that her new album “is complete, finally.” (She made similar comments at this year's Grammys). This coming April will mark the seventh anniversary of Cardi’s debut studio album, Invasion of Privacy, which saw her scoring her first-ever Hot 100 No. 1 with “Bodak Yellow.”

In the years since, Cardi has provided fans with numerous updates on the status of a follow-up, all while sharing multiple standalone singles and popping up for high-profile collaborations like 2022's “Hot Shit” with Ye and Durk.
