TV star Carol Vorderman couldn't hide her joy when she learned that one of the contestants on I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! holds a torch for her.
There was excitement as eight campmates received their luxury items on Tuesday, but it was one particular present that really captivated viewers.
Melvin Odoom was thrilled to unveil a cushion adorned with pictures of his family and none other than Countdown legend Carol during the gifting segment, exclaiming: "My dad, my mum and Carol Vorderman. My crush," as he proudly presented his quirky possession. He continued to showcase his admiration for Carol in the Bush Telegraph.
Confessing his long-standing admiration, Melvin shared: "I have been a fan of Carol Vorderman for a very long time, in fact I have a little rap," before delivering the lines: "I know a woman so fine, she's mature like a fine wine. The mandem can't comprehend my 10 out of 10 Carol Vorderman, woo I wanna work her out, check your DMs girl and I'll be waiting."
Having once taken on the jungle herself, Carol, commenting on the show's spin-off programme I'm a Celebrity... Unpacked, responded affectionately to Melvin's charming acknowledgment and pillowcase tribute, as reported by OK! reports WalesOnline.
Carol, 63, reciprocated with a playful voice message to the 44 year old Melvin, expressing her flattered support: "Melvin, I'm blushing redder than that leather red dress I'm wearing on your pillowcase. But I'll be rooting for you all the way through, and see you on the other side," she cheekily mentioned.
I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! fans were left gobsmacked by Melvin's peculiar choice of luxury item. One fan exclaimed on Twitter: "I didn't think a luxury item would beat the Jane McDonald photo but Melvin and his Carol Vorderman pillow has officially taken the top spot. #ImACeleb".
