Carol Vorderman was branded a "liar" after mocking Nigel Farage over Reform UK's latest blow.
It was reported that 12 Reform UK councillors had given Mr Farage notice of their intention to resign. Councillors alleged the party was being run in an "increasingly autocratic manner" and had lost its sense of direction.
Carol, 64, made a veiled dig at the Reform UK leader as she reposted the article on X.
The former Countdown presenter wrote: "NEWS 'Twelve Reform UK councillors to resign over Nigel Farage’s leadership'. Ooooofffffff Trouble a t'mill. Farage not making his councillors happy...who'd have thought it!!"
However, the TV star was called out for spreading "lies" as fans flocked to the comments to set her straight.
One wrote: "More lies. Reform membership is going up massively. Remember that. Nigel will become PM and Reform UK will win the next general election."

A second agreed: "They're not resigning, they haven't been accepted, they failed or didn't take the vetting process. Had they been kept on in a couple of months you'd be saying that Reform will take anyone. I think you'd do better looking at the credentials of some of your favoured party."
Another commented: "Again with the fake news spreading. Have you checked that story out and the facts before you start the click bait post."
A fourth remarked: "The lies. Get the facts first carol."
Another added: "Oh Carol, You really need to not jump on the bandwagon without getting the facts because now you look like a very silly woman."
In an interview with BBC Newsnight, Mr Farage claimed that none of the councillors who quit ahead of Reform's South East of England Conference had "passed vetting".

"We had a rogue branch putting people up and I think you'll find, in many cases, there will have to be by-elections because they were not legitimately put forward," he said.
The 12 councilors - who hold two district council seats, nine town council seats and five parish council seats - are all from Derbyshire.
Alex Stephenson, who came second in Amber Valley during the general election, was included in the group.
As well as slamming the way Mr Farage chooses to run his party and its loss of direction, the councillors also accused the I'm A Celebrity star of "disloyalty" to long-term members.
