Married At First Sight star Ella Morgan's ex-boyfriend Alex James Ali has hit back at rumours he cheated on her - branding the speculation "not true".
The couple met earlier this year on E4's chaotic reality show Celebs Go Dating - with Ella appearing on the series less than a year after she failed to find a lasting love on Married At First Sight. Viewers watched as Ella and hairdresser Alex found a spark between them - and were thrilled when the pair embarked on a rosy romance.
But just as temperatures drop with the change of the seasons, it appeared the love between the pair turned cold - and they decided to split. Following the break-up, however, allegations emerged that Alex had been unfaithful, with one report suggesting that he had texted other women behind Ella's back.
Taking to Instagram Stories on New Year's Eve, Alex furiously slammed the reports and defended himself, writing: "To address some recent articles, regarding mine and Ella’s break-up. The rumours are not true. Our relationship ended amicably and I have nothing buy love and respect for Ella." He added: "That’s all there is to say. Wishing you all a great New Year."

E4)His comments came after a representative of Ella shared her shock over the allegations that he had messaged others. The reality star's spokesperson told the Mirror: “Ella is extremely grateful for her time on Celebs Go Dating and for meeting Alex. Sadly the couple had decided to split recently this month, but Ella was unaware of any messaging between Alex and other girls during the time they were together."
They added: "This has come as a bit of a shock and so Ella will be focusing the rest of the Christmas and festive period on spending time with her family, alongside focusing on her career and wellbeing. She has learnt so much about what she wants and deserves, and knows what her worth is, which is the most important thing."
A source had previously told The Sun: "Ella is absolutely heartbroken and disappointed but the trust is gone now for her. On the outside they appeared so happy and loved up but there was cracks growing on the inside. Fans absolutely adored them and that initially spurred them on to try and make things work and they even planned to move into Alex's house at some point. She's going into the New Year single with a positive mind frame but it has come at the worst time with Christmas and her birthday just days away."
Married At First Sight fans will recall that Ella was first matched with Nathanial Valentino who she swapped vows with on the E4 show - only to ditch him and later get together with fellow contestant JJ Slater, who had been married to Bianca Petronzi. While things were looking good for Ella and JJ on the show, they soon split after cameras stopped rolling - and she ended up blasting Katie Price for 'breaking girl code' after the OnlyFans star struck up a romance with JJ soon after he parted ways with her.
