IT'S that time of the year where our attention turns to the New Year and what our resolutions will be - if any.

But while some may decide to get fitter in 2025 or give up a bad habit, some famous faces have different and stranger ideas of the tradition.

When it comes to Radio 2 DJ Scott Mills, who is taking over Zoe Ball's breakfast show, he's spoken honestly about wanting to give up biting his nails.

Scott, 51, previously said: "I have tried everything, I had Shellac nails done which I was told I wouldn't be able to bite because they're rock hard, didn't work.

"I was told to try oregano oil because it tastes disgusting, that worked for a while but you just stink of oregano which isn't ideal and I smelt like a herb rack."

Further afield, Kylie Jenner revealed her special way of making sure she keeps all of her resolutions.

The 27-year-old reality star and businesswoman said she makes them so 'vague' she can never break them.

And being just as vague in her explanation, Kylie added that she uses the resolutions to "realise stuff".

When it comes to the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle once revealed her resolve "to not have a resolution".

On her now defunct blog The Tig, she wrote: “I often find myself wallowing in disappointment when I set a goal I can’t achieve. Of measuring each day’s triumph or failure as a benchmark of how the year is going. And at 34 years old, I’m over that."

Meghan continued: “My New Year’s resolution is to leave room for magic. To make my plans, and be okay if they sometimes break. To set my goals, but be open to change.

"To let the magic know that there is an open door policy with me in 2016 and that it is always welcome to join the party.”
