Influencer Charli D’Amelio posted an uplifting message for fans after TikTok went down in the United States.

According to the Economic Times, D’Amelio was the second most popular TikTok influencer. The site noted that she had 155.8 million TikTok followers. Khabane Lame was the most followed page, the site reported. D’Amelio has expanded her brand beyond TikTok, though, to television, Broadway, and “Dancing With the Stars.”

With TikTok going down throughout the U.S. on January 18, D’Amelio turned to Instagram, where she has 42 million followers. “Hey, reels, how we doing?” she said in the video, with a smile. She started to say, “We’re here” before the video cuts off. The caption simply read, “Hey.” D’Amelio also posted the same video as a Facebook reel; she has more than 2 million followers on that platform.

Although D’Amelio didn’t mention TikTok, the timing was not lost on fans in her comment thread. “I WANT TIKTOK😭😭,” wrote one fan in her comment thread on Instagram.

But another wrote, “Oh we are so back.”

A message appeared on TikTok on the evening of January 18. “Sorry, TikTok isn’t available right now,” it reads.

“A law banning TikTok has been enacted in the U.S. Unfortunately, that means you can’t use TikTok for now,” the message continued.

The message continued that the site hopes a U.S. government solution will be found that allows TikTok to be reinstated, indicating that may happen.

“In the meantime, you can still log in to download your data,” TikTok wrote.

D’Amelio is also on YouTube, where she has 9 million subscribers, but she doesn’t post there much.
