San Francisco 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan told reporters that he would be surprised if star running back Christian McCaffrey was able to suit up in the team's Week 8 matchup against the Dallas Cowboys.
However, he said there's a "better chance" he's able to play in Week 10 after the 49ers' bye week in Week 9. That would be a potential Nov. 10 return for McCaffrey against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
