Uh oh! Hannah Berner upset the Swifties!
As you may recall, the comedian already came under fire last week when Netflix’s Torching 2024: A Roast of the Year dropped. Hannah’s controversial quip was about Blake Lively’s feud with It Ends With Us co-star/director Justin Baldoni — and the subsequent public backlash for her past mean girl behavior. She said on the special:
“The word c**t was trending this year. I don’t think Blake Lively was that bad.”
Damn. The roast special was filmed on Tuesday, December 17, days before Blake filed a sexual harassment complaint against Justin and the messy drama that has transpired since then! So talk about horrible timing for the Summer House alum! And she continues to take hits online!
Hannah has found herself in trouble again, this time with the fans of Blake’s best friend Taylor Swift. Why? Because of a “wildly inappropriate” and “extremely sexist” joke the 33-year-old former reality star made on the special about the pop star’s relationship with Travis Kelce. Here is what happened…

Hannah brought up one of the biggest alleged criminals (or hotties, as some say) to come out of 2024: Luigi Mangione, the 26-year-old who was arrested and charged with the murder of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson. And while talking about shooting suspect, she managed to sneak in a quip about Tayvis, saying:
“Luigi’s so hot right now. Who knew that besides Travis Kelce that you could become so popular with women by shooting loads into a billionaire?”
Yikes…

No word on what Taylor has to say about that comment. But we have a feeling this is how the singer would react…
As for everyone else? When someone posted a clip of the joke on X (Twitter) on Wednesday, it immediately caught the attention of Swiftes. And they aren’t happy! Many fans slammed Hannah in the comments, with one social media user calling the remark “outright vile” for “objectifying” Taylor. Another said it was “degrading.” Oof. See more reactions (below):
“Travis Kelce just keeps picking up stray bullets at this point.”
“People love to reduce Taylor to the men in her life but to do it about her as a sexual object is so so gross”
“i kinda liked her before but she should learn the phrase ‘less talk, less mistakes’”
“here we go again… can people stop making taylor the butt of the joke… we are tired”
“no bc i doubt taylor would be impressed with this joke either”
Not everyone thought it was gross, though! Some even defended Hannah, admitting they laughed at the joke. A few even thought it was “pretty clever,” with one saying:
“It’s a roast. What did you expect? G-rated feel-good comedy?”
Hmm. What do YOU think, Perezcious readers? Let us know in the comments!
