A new day means a new Connections puzzle, and it's a challenging one.
Launched to the public in June 2023, Connections has gone on to become The New York Times' second-most popular game after Wordle.
Keep scrolling for Newsweek's tips for puzzle #606. It should be noted that Thursday's answers will also be revealed at the end of this article, so please scroll with caution if you want to avoid spoilers.
How to Play Connections
To start Connections, players must split 16 words into four categories based on a common thread. These categories are color-coded for difficulty, with yellow being the easiest, followed by green, then blue, and then purple, which is considered the hardest.
For example, in Wednesday's puzzle, the blue category was "Things to do with a deck of cards," and the words associated with it were "cut," "deal," "fan" and "shuffle."
Wednesday's purple category, meanwhile, was "Parts of a compensation package," and the words were "bonus," "insurance," "salary" and "vacation."
Once you've chosen your words, you click the "Submit" button. If the words are incorrect, they will remain on the board. However, if they are correct, they will flash in their category color and will be removed from the grid.
Players get four guesses to solve the brainteaser, but it's not timed.

Connections creator Wyna Liu previously shared with Newsweek the key to winning the game.
"My best piece advice is to wait as long as you can before guessing," she said in June. "You may see the board and have completely identified the category, seeing five words that could belong in that category."
Liu also advised against "rage solving."
