Corey Feldman’s estranged wife, Courtney Feldman, was victorious in her fight for temporary spousal support, but she didn’t get as much per month as she was seeking, In Touch can exclusively report.
According to court documents obtained by In Touch, a hearing was held on November 15 where Corey, 53, and Courtney, 34, faced off in court.
The exes were present in court with their legal teams. The court ordered Corey to pay $3,500 per month in temporary support.
The judge entered the amount based on a deal reached between Corey and Courtney. Corey will continue paying the amount until a final decision is reached by the court.
The court noted that the issue of retroactive support has yet to be resolved. The couple wed on November 22, 2016, in Las Vegas. Corey filed for legal separation in September 2023.
The former child star cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the split.
He listed the date of separation as June 22, 2023. Corey asked that Courtney be denied spousal support.
In response, Courtney said that she desperately needed support to pay bills. She said she owed thousands in medical debt and recently lost her job as a barista.
Her lawyer told the court Courtney “has been living with friends, has no vehicle, no income and has had medical expenses which [Corey] will not reimburse or assist.”
The attorney said, “She has borrowed money paid for fees from family members, who in turn, had to borrow money. She is without funds for necessities of life, much less attorney fees or to hire a forensic accountant.”
As In Touch first reported, Courtney asked the court to award her $5,000 per month in support. She claimed that she was unable to maintain the luxurious life she had while married to Corey. “I am unable to earn anything close to the martial standard of living,” Courtney said.
In court documents, Courtney claimed that her marriage to Corey fell apart after she decided to quit “recreational” drugs in 2023.
“My decision to quit drugs and ‘our lifestyle’ was the reason our marriage ended,” she said.
“In May 2023, I informed Corey I would not be ‘partying’ anymore and further, because of my deteriorating health and increased stress, I would not be going on tour. Once I said no to the drugs our relationship unraveled quickly.”
Courtney told the court she believed Corey was pulling in around $280,000 per month from various appearances and deals.
Corey scoffed at the amount Courtney claimed he pulled in every month.
He said he only had $34,000 in the bank and owed a ton to the IRS and in credit card debt. “I do not receive any residuals which add anything significant to my income or savings.” Corey said.
Corey said he made $78,946 in 2023. Corey said he had been paying Courtney $2,000 per month in voluntary spousal support, but he was without funds to pay more.
The former child star also denied the claims they lived the high life while married. “We lived a modest middle-class lifestyle,” Corey wrote.
Corey said he paid $5,000 for Courtney to obtain a healthcare certification. He said she decided not to pursue a job in that field and worked as a barista instead.
Corey and Courtney will face off again at a scheduled hearing in March.
