Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande Look Wicked-ly Good on Golden Globes 2025 Red Carpet—Without Their Signature Pink and Green

1 day ago 3

Since the film’s second installment doesn’t hit theaters until Thanksgiving 2025, there’s undoubtedly much, much more to come as the long march to the Emerald City continues (think puce, magenta, and chartreuse).

The two have held space aplenty for light cosplay in support of the film, donning their characters’ signature colors as far back as last February’s Super Bowl game, some nine months before the movie premiered in theaters. They wore sequined Louis Vuitton jerseys to attend the game together, Erivo’s spangled green with a pink stripe across the chest, “Elphaba” emblazoned across her back, and Grande’s the inverse color scheme, with, of course, “Glinda” bedazzled between her shoulder blades.

Since then, they’ve given Wicked fans plenty of fashion Easter eggs to “rejoicify” over, appearing together in various combinations of Glinda pink and Elphaba green, following in the thematic-dress footsteps of Margot Robbie’s Barbie press tour and Zendaya’s Challengers and Dune: Part Two wardrobes before them. The two presented at the 2024 Oscars, attended the Met Gala 2024, and more, all decked out in different takes on the hues.

Wicked is up for four awards at Sunday evening’s Golden Globes, including best motion picture—musical or comedy and cinematic and box office achievement, as well as a best female actor in a motion picture—musical or comedy nomination for Erivo, and a nomination for the corresponding supporting female actor category for Grande.
