An unbothered Dame Dash shrugs off the news New York state purchased his 1/3 of Roc-A-Fella records for back taxes.

The state of New York is now the proud owner of Dame Dash’s 1/3 ownership of Roc-A-Fella Records. When Dame unsuccessfully tried to sell the shares in a NFT auction it kicked off a long legal battle over his shares. Jay-Z sued to halt the auction and eventually, the government stepped in to sell the shares to cover an unpaid legal judgment.

Following several delays, the auction proceeded and  New York State won the shares with hopes of recouping Dash’s $8.7M in back taxes.

According to TMZ, Dame Dash is unbothered by all the ROC drama and allegedly skipped the auction for his son’s birthday. Dame alleges no one cared enough to show up for the auction besides the state, Jay-Z’s layers, and the group hoping to collect the judgment against him. Also, the Mogul alleges he hasn’t received royalties from “Reasonable Doubt” for 15 years. The iconic album Reasonable Doubt is reportedly the only album owned by Roc-A-Fella Records.

Now that the debacle is over we can file this under another example of Uncle Sam always collecting what is owed.
