Dancing On Ice has glided back onto our screens with a fresh batch of celebs, including soap opera stars, Olympic heroes, and reality TV darlings, all strapping on their skates to battle it out for the top prize.

The ITV show is hosted by the dazzling duo Holly Willoughby and Stephen Mulhern, while ice skating royalty Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean, alongside telly faves Ashley Banjo and Oti Mabuse, take the judges' seats.

Before the stars dazzled on the rink, Holly and Stephen paid a heartfelt homage to past contestant James Lee Williams, aka The Vivienne, who tragically passed away on January 5. However, the tribute left some Dancing on Ice viewers cold, with one fan moaning on social media: "Was that seriously the tribute for The Vivienne they were talking about? ?

"Hoping there's something else later on in the show because that's the only reason why I tuned in icl #DancingOnIce."

Another was equally unimpressed, commenting: "No for real I was expecting so much more", and a third echoed: "Really disappointing actually."

One more viewer lamented: "Is that it for a tribute to The Vivienne a few words why can't we at least see some dances etc #DancingOnIce,", reports the Mirror.

It comes after The Vivienne was bombarded with online abuse in the week before their death. After appearing on Blankety Blank on Boxing Day, scores of trolls posted anti-gay messages on social media.

Fellow drag queen and pal Myra Dubois said: “After appearing on Blankety Blank over Christmas, they were bombarded with a slew of homophobic abuse.”

Fellow Drag Race contestent Crystal also opened up about her shock and heartbreak at the drag queen’s untimely passing on Sunday, aged just 32.

“The homophobia that The Vivienne faced days before her death breaks my heart”, she said, adding that the amount of hate she received has “compounded the tragedy of her passing”.
