Ferne McCann is warning her Dancing on Ice rivals she is going all out to win the series. After missing out on victory on other shows, she’s determined to come out on top this time.

She said: “I have a competitive streak. I didn’t win I’m A Celebrity and I missed out on Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins, so I’d be lying if I said I didn’t want to get to the final.”

Ferne is ready to work around the clock with her pro partner Brendyn Hatfield to boost her chances of winning. She added: “Whenever I commit to something I never do anything in halves.

“Whether I’m giving birth, training for SAS or doing the school run I’m fully committed to the cause.”

Dancing on Ice is famed for being one of the toughest shows on the box. Over the years a string of contestants have had to pull out because skating is so gruelling. But Ferne isn’t worried about any of that.

She said: “I love a challenge and as a fan of the show, what I love most about it is the sporting element.

“Not many people know this about me but I love sports and we have to respect the fact that it’s an olympic sport so I love that combined with the performance element.”

Ferne is competing against stars including Olympian Sir Steve Redgrave and EastEnders legend Charlie Brooks. The series starts on Sunday night at 6.30pm on ITV1.

Earlier this year, the TOWIE star opened up about her relationship struggles following the birth of her baby. Ferne and fiance Lorri Haines saw an intimacy coach after their sex life dried up after the birth of their daughter Finty in July 2023, and had taken to sleeping in separate bedrooms.

In an interview with Heat! magazine, she said: "It was really insightful. We did lots of different activities that weren't actually talking about sexual stuff, but it was more communication techniques and exercises that you can transfer into the bedroom."
