Dancing With The Stars judge Loraine Barry pays tribute to ex-husband Andrew after he dies

Loraine Barry has paid tribute to her ex-husband Andrew Sinkinson after he sadly passed away.

The Dancing With The Stars judge was married to the male dancer between 1989 and 1993.

He was her first dance partner and the two remained working at the dance studio, with Loraine staying close with his mother.

The RTE star shared a picture and a video of her and Andrew dancing from her competition days. She captioned the image: “The pain is real”.

She also wrote: “I’m sorry, I will not be teaching this week. Time is needed to see loved ones, show my respect and come to terms with a huge loss.

“My sincere condolences to Irina, Andrew’s wife, his children Mark and Sophie and his mother Norah. RIP ANDREW”.

People from the dance community have sent their condolences to Andrew’s family as they paid tribute to him and his career.

DanceSport EA wrote: “We were deeply saddened to learn of the death Andrew Sinkinson; who joined the great dance floor in the sky yesterday. Our condolences go to his family, friends, and pupils. He will be missed.”

Take The Floor shared: “The sudden death of dance legend #AndrewSinkinson has sent a shock wave through the dance world. We join with others in sending our condolences to Andrew's family, friends, and pupils. This serves to remind us to #LiveLoveDance while we can!”

Loraine has opened up about the breakdown of her two marriages, with the judge previously married to Luca Baricchi from 1997 to 2010.

She told RSVP Magazine in 2022: "You let it all out, you have to let the tears out and speak about the truth of the situation.

"You’ve to realise that it’s not your fault and it’s easier to move on once you accept that.

"My sister Michelle is my best friend and she’s been there every step of the way. My brother Jimmy is always there for me and he fights for me because he’s a man."
