Davina McCall released a major update on her health following her surgery for a brain tumour.
The star said she is feeling "much better" as she recovers form the operation at home. In an update, she said: "I'm just trying to sleep a lot and get better. My short term memory is really improving a lot everyday and it has been an example to me on how much sleep helps me recover from everything."
The former Big Brother host, 57, underwent a six-hour surgery earlier this month to remove a 14mm benign brain tumour. She found the health scare during routine scan a few months ago while she was giving a talk for a menopause company. She later admitted that she was blindsided after the tumour was discovered after believing she would "ace" her health scan.
She recently said said the wife of her late father Andrew has been her "stabilising" force throughout her journey with ill health. In a heartfelt Instagram update, Davina shared her gratitude for Gaby and stepmothers in general, describing her as "an amazing rock" and affectionately calling her "a big dose of vitamin G."
Speaking in a video message filmed from her bed shortly ofter the op, the star said: "I'm being brilliantly looked after by Michael and my mum. I'd quickly like to say big up the step-mums. I don't really say thank you to Gaby enough. She's been an amazing rock my whole life."
She went on: "I was talking yesterday to somebody, I said I've got a massive dose of vitamin G. I think when something like this happens I just feel so grateful. I've always been grateful, I've been really lucky in my life.
