DDG Says He's a Loyal Fan of Drake: 'I Could Never Switch Up'

DDG has pledged his allegiance to Drake and admitted he will never turn his back on him, unlike others who, according to him, did during the explosive feud with Kendrick Lamar.

During a recent livestream, the Michigan rapper told his viewers that he's a legit fan of Drake and couldn't even think about switching up on him, unlike some fans and artists who have seemingly done so in response to his beef with Lamar over the last several months. DDG stated he would remain a fan even if Drizzy did something directly to him, as he's grown up on the 6 God's catalog.

"I could never switch up on Drake as a fan, bruh," DDG said during a recent livestream. "I just can't. Even if he did something to me personally. I just couldn't. Because I grew up listening to the n***a bruh. I've been listening to the music since I was a kid."

He added, "I could never switch up. I'm just a loyal ass fan. If I'm a fan of your stuff, I'mma be a fan of your stuff forever. That's just how I am. Even if I grow apart from your art or whatever, I'mma always be a loyal fan. I ain't going to switch up on you. A lot of y'all need to take notes from me cause some of y'all be switching up. Y'all need to stop that."

DDG continued on to say that Drake's music was the soundtrack to several car rides and helped him get through "a lot of heartbreaks." He even admitted that Drake's music often set the mood for him in the bedroom. He also said he's only concerned with the music that Drake puts out and nothing outside of that.

DDG was recently featured in a collaborative song with Tory Lanez titled "Handling Business," released last December, where the latter showed support for Drake. In the song, Tory references the public perceives Drake and how they share the same problems.

"I be up praying & waiting for the day that n****s come for me the way they did Drizzy/ I got the card in the wallet & big brodies problems are my problems so fuck how you feelin' about it," raps Tory.

In other DDG news, the rapper took to Twitch on Jan. 9, where he explained that he was warned to evacuate his mansion amid the Los Angeles wildfires and that he was working on getting fire insurance.
