Deal or No Deal Island Season 2 is upon us, bringing us a new female Banker representative. If you missed Season 1, this term refers to the mysterious character pulling the strings. But what does this ever-present job require?
Well, The Banker is an unseen entity that makes offers to contestants throughout the game. They work alongside the host, Joe Manganiello, who behaves like an arbitrator between the contestants and this unknown entity. At the close of Season 1, we learned that Howie Mandel was the DONDI Banker. His presence in this spinoff series made sense, as Howie was the American host of the original series Deal or No Deal for seven long seasons.
Yet, Howie is not returning for Deal or No Deal Island Season 2. But at the end of the first episode, we saw Joe telling the new contestants to be “Beware of The Banker” since “you never know what she will do next.” Now, we know that whoever this hidden star is, they identify as a lady.
In an interview with NBC, Joe further revealed that the Banker has roots in the Deal or No Deal franchise, just as Howie did. So now, this is our list of possible suspects for Banker in DONDI Season 2.
Is Jordan Fowler the Deal or No Deal Island Season 2 Banker?
Jordan Fowler played an excellent game in Season 1 of DONDI. Playing the middle of the road in almost every circumstance kept Jordan off of the radars. This strategy helped her steer clear of enemies and eliminations, and in turn, she ended up $1,230,000 richer for her efforts.
As Jordan revealed to Reality Tea, “People trusted me. And I approached it from a genuine place. It takes a lot of discipline, self-control, and awareness to balance all the relationships and not have people think you are being phony or disingenuous. It was as exhausting socially as it was physically.”
As the first champion of this series, Jordan is our top prediction as the possible Season 2 Banker. It would make sense to have a former winner return to their series to pass down the next suitcase-filled (hopefully) throne. Also, it might be fun to watch Jordan toying with those competing for her title, should Jordan be our next Banker on DONDI.
Is Claudia Jordan the Deal or No Deal Island Season 2 Banker?
Claudia Jordan is an American actress and model. If you watch Bravo, you might also recognize her name from Season 7 of Real Housewives of Atlanta. Reality television is in her blood, as Claudia has worked on far too many series to count, including DONDI.
In Season 1 of DONDI, Claudia got axed early on. She was the third star sent packing, all because she offered to sacrifice her safety in the game for her alliance. Claudia encouraged Dr. Stephanie Mitchell to steal her briefcase instead of taking “Boston” Rob Mariano’s. Stephanie did as instructed, and this placed Claudia in the bottom two.
Rob then won immunity, selecting Claudia to play Deal or No Deal, which risked her spot in this series. Unfortunately, her briefcase contained a higher dollar value than the deal she accepted, so Claudia walked away without a win. But now, maybe the network will bring Claudia back as our Season 2 Banker, giving her a win and a better send-off on this series.
Is Stacey Gardner the Deal or No Deal Island Season 2 Banker?
Stacey Gardner is an attorney who also models and acts. These attributes helped Stacey snag more than one season as a suitcase model on Deal or No Deal, the original series for this spinoff. Starting in 2005, Stacey stood beside suitcase #2. She was funny and carefree, and in one episode, she even took over the hosting duties when Howie needed to take a little march with the other models.
Diversifying her portfolio, Stacey’s likeness next appeared on the Deal or No Deal video game in 2006. Following this, Stacey took a break from this industry. But according to her IMDb, she re-emerged in 2021 to play a brief gig on Untold, a Netflix documentary-styled series. She played herself, as this episode focused on her husband, tennis star Mardy Fish.
Could Stacey now make another return to our screens via The Banker role in Season 2 of DONDI? Time will tell, fam.
Is Chrissy Teigen the Deal or No Deal Island Season 2 Banker?
Chrissy Teigen loves reality television. She has appeared on Watch What Happens Live multiple times. Each time she pops in, Chrissy is always happy to gab about the details of this genre with like-minded individuals, which we love.
However, Chrissy has also starred in this realm. In the first season, Chrissy modeled suitcases on Deal or No Deal. But she failed to keep her gig, which she joked about many years later on Instagram.
Chrissy looked sad, but in her hands, she was holding a suitcase that contained $750,000. “This feels like an alternate universe,” she wrote, as we all giggled, noting that her face should have been happy, not glum.
Chrissy failed to reappear in any further seasons, but her presence in the original series makes her a strong candidate as our next Banker on Season 2 of DONDI. It would be filed as karma since Howie (or his team) replaced her on DOND. So now, Chrissy can replace Howie.
Is Meghan Markle the Deal or No Deal Island Season 2 Banker?
Meghan Markle is the least likely pick as the Season 3 Banker. She is a Duchess married to a prince these days, after all. Yet, Meghan has roots in this franchise. She also has a new lifestyle series on Netflix, so we are holding space for Meghan’s possible return to her original series.
Before Meghan became the Duchess of Sussex, she was also known as Rachel Zane in the since-wrapped series Suits. Before Suits, Meghan was a briefcase model on Deal or No Deal, where she expertly held briefcase number 24 in 2006 and 2007. This highly-photographed woman remained on this series for 34 episodes.
However, her former host, Howie, does not even recall her appearances on DOND. In an interview with E! back in 2018, Howie admitted that he does not “even remember” Meghan. But he did joke, “You start with Howie. You move to [Prince] Harry.” So now, even though this is a long shot, we would love to see Meghan back on this franchise, returning to replace Howie in Season 2 of DONDI.
Deal or No Deal Island is streaming on Peacock.
