Dodgers Star Predicted To Betray LA, Sign $100 Million Deal With Bitter Rival

The Los Angeles Dodgers won the 2024 World Series and pitcher Jack Flaherty was a huge reason why. Flaherty held the Dodgers' rotation together as they battled a multitude of injuries.

But the righty is now a free agent and it doesn't seem likely he re-signs with Los Angeles. The Dodgers have added Blake Snell and they're set to return Shohei Ohtani and a few others from injuries.

Ryan Finkelstein of Just Baseball recently predicted the Dodgers World Series hero to sign a $100 million deal with the rival San Francisco Giants.

"Now that Corbin Burnes and Sean Manaea have each signed in free agency, Jack Flaherty has become the clear top arm left on the market," Finkelstein wrote. "The only question now is where is he going to land and for how much?

"It has been reported that the Giants were one of the finalists to land Burnes, but missed out when he signed with the Arizona Diamondbacks. After reportedly offering over $210 million to sign Burnes, the Giants could potentially take half of that money and use it towards signing Flaherty instead."

The Giants seem like the most reasonable favorites to land Flaherty. San Francisco seemed to be a lock to sign Corbin Burnes, but Burnes opted for the Arizona Diamondbacks instead.

As San Francisco still looks to replace Snell in free agency, it could steal a pitcher from its rivals to do so. The Dodgers stole Snell from the Giants and this could be San Francisco's chance to do the same thing to Los Angeles.
