Dolph Lundgren announces he's cancer free
Dolph Lundgren, 67, announced he is cancer-free after a nine-year battle. It comes after the Rocky star was informed by one doctor that he only had a few years left to live.
The Swedish actor took to Instagram on Wednesday and shared the happy news with his 3.2 million followers. The Expendables star explained he was undergoing a lung ablation, a minimally invasive procedure that uses heat or cold energy to target and destroy cancer cells without the need for surgery.
Dolph captioned the post: "Health update - finally cancer free with gratefulness and excitement for a bright future. Thanks for all your support always. "
He said from his hospital bed, "Alright, so here I am.
"Here I am at UCLA, I’m about to go in and get rid of that last tumour,’ he said. "Since there are no cancer cells in my body anymore, I guess I’ll be cancer-free, so I’m looking forward to this procedure."

In May 2023, Dolph revealed he had been battling cancer for eight years.
Speaking on the podcast, In Depth with Graham Besinger, the actor revealed he was first diagnosed with lung cancer in 2015.
He went into remission, but then cancer returned in 2020 and he was told he had two to three years left to live by one doctor.
The star sought a second opinion, and the treatment he is now receiving has shrunk the tumours.
