Jamie Oliver shares sweet snaps of wife Jools' 50th celebrations after I'm A Celeb tease

Jamie Oliver's wife Jools Oliver celebrated her milestone 50th birthday earlier this week following the celebrity chef teasing that she should go on I'm A Celebrity as a campmate

Celebrity chef Jamie Oliver's wife Jools Oliver celebrated a milestone birthday earlier this week and her husband marked the special occasion in posts on social media.

Jamie, 49, paid tribute to Jools, now 50, for her birthday on Wednesday and he later gave his followers on Instagram a glimpse into their celebrations. He shared that the couple visited the Ritz London, which he said was "magical".

He shared photos from their time at the five-star hotel's restaurant on his Instagram Story on Thursday morning. One photo showed Jools wearing a party hat whilst sat beside Jamie at their table. The caption read: "Had the best time at the [Ritz London] it was so so nice. Magical like a film."

Another photo showed the couple posing in front of a large Christmas tree in the reception. Jools was seen wearing a biege jumper, cream trousers and trainers, whilst Jamie opted for a grey jumper, dark trousers and brown boots.

He wrote: "So Christmasy Eve, I can't handle it." Jamie also shared other photos of decorations at the hotel, including showcasing lights cascading above the tree. The tree itself had been decorated with baubles and presenters.

The celebrations also included a birthday cake, which featured in a photo of Jools on her own. She was seen sat on a sofa whilst holding up the cake, which had "happy 50th birthday" written on it and sported a single candle.

Jamie revealed that the couple, who have five children together, were joined by their eldest, Poppy, 22, at the restaurant. He shared a photo of himself hugging his daughter whilst at their table and wrote: "A little gate crasher popped along bless."

It comes after Jamie paid tribute to Jools - whom he's been married to since 2000 - in a previous post. Alongside photos of her, he wrote: "Slay queen! Happy 50th birthday my darling @joolsoliver 50! I can't believe it. Where has the time gone? What a journey we have had together my goodness!"

Jamie continued: "You still look young and beautiful babe, I love you so much. Thank you for being the most incredible wife, best friend - you're the most wonderful bonkers, fun, hilarious, iconic, weird and wonderful human I've ever met. You're the most incredible mum. Thank you for being you. I hope you have the best birthday day and week ever Here's to the next 50 years!"

Earlier this week, Jamie teased that his wife should take part in the next series of I'm A Celebrity. Hosts Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly had initially asked whether Jamie would be interested in competing as a campmate.

He said in a video message: "Thanks for the offer boys. I would love to come on [I'm a Celeb], I think it's an amazing show, but honestly you couldn't give me enough olive oil in the world to make me eat a witchetty grub or a kangaroo's a**e - no way. [...] But what I can give you is my wife Jools - she would love to be on the show. Go on Jools."

After sharing the message, Ant commented in a post on Instagram: "We'd would take Jools, right?" His co-host Dec teased: "Jools Oliver - first booking for 2025. Thanks Jools, see you in Australia next year."
