There is a running debate in the NFL about who is the fastest player on the gridiron. Miami Dolphins star wide receiver Tyreek Hill believes that it is him. Though there have been rumors and suggestions of racing to be done between players making this claim, though that has yet to transpire.

Hill has put his money where his mouth is, as the saying goes. He raced in a 60-meter track event back in March 2023 and got first place with a time of 6.70 seconds.

Though Hill does not focus on track meets, he showed off incredible speed.

Fast forward to March 2024, when Olympic Gold Medalist Noah Lyles drew the ire of most professional athletes. He was asked about how the NBA Finals, and alluded to U.S. sports being referring to themselves as "World Champions."

"I have to watch the NBA Finals, and they have world champion on their head. World champion of what?" Lyles said at the time. "The United States? Don't get me wrong. I love the U.S. at times, but that ain't the world. That is not the world," Lyles stated.

The entire sports world began to fire back at Lyles, especially those in the NBA considering a lot of professional basketball players are from other countries. Lyles' comments also reached the NFL, where Hill not only took umbrage with his comments but also stated he could beat Lyles in a race.

Hill stated, "For him to say that we're not world champions of our sport like come on bruh, just speak on what you know about, and that's track."

"I would beat Noah Lyles," Hill said. "I wouldn't beat him by a lot, but I would beat Noah Lyles."

Lyles eventually fired back with, "What's the cheetah guy from football? Well, I can't remember his name... I would coach Tyreek Hill to run track."

Though Hill and Lyles have not raced and both have backed down on taking shots at one another, Hill has now reignited the feud.

Lyles accepted a race with the famous streamer, IShowSpeed, and the streamer was very close to beating Lyles. Naturally, this prompted a response from Hill, who added a caption, "And track athletes think he gone beat me."

Hill capped off the caption with three laughing emojis. Interestingly, IShowSpeed challenged Hill to a race earlier this season, which Hill denied. It would be interesting to see if IShowSpeed could beat Hill considering he was very close to beating an Olympic Gold Medalist.

Hill is clearly "trolling" as he says he uses his X page specially for. However, Hill might also be attempting a final time to see if Lyles will take the bait and race the Dolphins speedster.
