The 5-6 Dolphins have won three straight games with Tua Tagovailoa under center, and have scored 34 points in each of their last two games.
On the flip side, the 8-3 Packers have won two straight and six of their last seven, and are coming off a 38-10 beatdown against the depleted San Francisco 49ers.
The Packers are looking to remain competitive with the Detroit Lions and Minnesota Vikings in the NFC North race, while the Dolphins are fighting to keep their playoff hopes alive. Who will get the massive Thursday night win? The staff at Newsweek Sports has their predictions.
Noah Camras: This game should be the best of the Thanksgiving slate with two high-powered offenses fighting for their postseason lives. The Packers are home favorites over the Dolphins, and they have a huge advantage with a cold November matchup at Lambeau Field. Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa hasn't thrived in cold matchups in the past, and while he'll play better, the Dolphins won't be able to get the upset win.
Prediction: Packers 27, Dolphins 20
Matt Levine: In what is expected to be the game of the day, Miami will try to keep their winning ways going at cold Lambeau Field. Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa hasn't historically played well in cold weather games, and we will see more of the same here. The Packers take the win and solidify themselves in the NFC playoff race.
Prediction: Packers 24, Dolphins 18
Ricardo Sandoval: The Packers will look to establish themselves as a top team in the NFL, but a healthy Dolphins team has been a force to be reckoned with. After all of their injuries this season, the Dolphins are finally looking healthy and have found something as they look to be a playoff team. They'll get the massive upset win on Thursday night to keep their playoff hopes alive.
Prediction: Dolphins 30, Packers 27
James Brizuela: The cold is the natural enemy for the Dolphins and Tua Tagovailoa, but the team's recent success with cold weather temperatures sparks some hope for a team that is still in a must-win scenario. Expect Miami to lean heavily on the one-two running back combo from De'Von Achane and Raheem Mostert. If the Dolphins can get the run game going and stop Jordan Love and Josh Jacobs, this will be a close but winnable game.
Prediction: Dolphins 24, Packers 21
Jeremy Hanna: Both the Dolphins and the Packers are fresh off big wins establishing themselves as genuine playoff threats. The biggest issue for Miami will be containing running back Josh Jacobs. If their rushing defense steps up alongside another excellent game by the offense, the Dolphins will have this in the bag.
Prediction: Dolphins 31, Packers 24
