Seriously, Johnny Depp, WTF?!
On Thursday night’s episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live, Don Johnson told a story about the Pirates of the Caribbean actor that’ll have your jaw on the floor. Or maybe you’ll be ducking for cover?

The Django Unchained star explained he’d been neighbors with the late Hunter S. Thompson back when he lived in Colorado. He’d once contacted him to see if he had any marijuana — as one might. We mean, this is the guy who wrote Fear and Lothing In Las Vegas after all! He recalled:
“I called over to Hunter’s to see if had any weed and, of course, he had, like, a ton out back. So I said, ‘Listen, I’m going to come over and get some weed ’cause I got a little group of people here.'”
Don said he then sent his assistant over to Hunter’s house to pick up the goods, but that’s when the gonzo journalist and his movie star pal decided to pull a horrifying prank:
“[He] drives up Hunter’s driveway and Johnny Depp and Hunter were hiding behind Hunter’s car with shotguns loaded with blanks and my assistant got out of the car and they both jumped out and said, ‘Die, mother!'”
Uh… what?!
The Miami Vice star recalled his assistant actually peed his pants because of the scare! We mean, can you blame him?! That’s SO messed up, not to mention super dangerous. See him tell the full story and more in the video (below):
Obviously you NEVER aim a gun at another person, even in jest. Even if they were blanks, there’s a chance some type of malfunction, or even a mistake like what caused the death of Halyna Hutchins. Plus, look at the tragedy of Brandon Lee… Those were at least intended to be controlled environments. The idea of trusting someone’s life to the memory of two guys bombed out of their minds? No way! We’d be peeing, too!
