After Vice President Kamala Harris's stepdaughter, Ella Emhoff, caught everyone's attention at the 2021 presidential inauguration, she was practically thrown into the spotlight overnight. By the next day, almost everyone knew who she was, along with an assortment of random facts about her.
We know, for example, that Emhoff studies design at Parsons and makes a lot of her own clothes, she signed a modeling contract back in 2021, and she has a deep love for tattoos. A quick glance at Emhoff's Instagram profile proves this last point, but she's also talked about her growing collection in the press.
In a "New York Times" interview, she confessed she has so many tattoos, she doesn't know the exact number anymore. "Maybe around 18 now," she said, adding that her parents "may not know about" some. (Well, they do now.)
Back in November 2020, Emhoff told "Garage" that stay-at-home orders are partially responsible for her sudden influx of body art. She got two new pieces of ink from a Brooklyn-based artist named Ella — one of a cow and one of a birthday cake. She even took up tattooing herself for fun at one point. "I did the classic: I did my dog's name, and I did a little flower," she said. "I recently did my first big boy: [a] salmon fish with a flower hanging out of its mouth."
Some of Ella Emhoff's tattoos are hard to spot in photographs, but if you want to get a closer look at a few of her designs, you can find them ahead.
