Sir Elton John's pals are very worried about the musician.
His friends are fretting over the Rocket Man's packed diary despite his recent health woes. The 77 year old legend left fans gobsmacked at the West End debut of 'The Devil Wears Prada' when he revealed, alongside hubby David Furnish, that a nasty eye infection from the summer had taken a toll on his sight.
Addressing the crowd, the icon admitted: "I've lost my eyesight and cannot see the stage." He continued with a heartfelt message: "As some of you may know, I have had issues, and now I have lost my sight. I haven't been able to see the performance but I have enjoyed it."

"To my husband, who's been my rock because I haven't been able to come to many of the previews... it's hard for me to see it, but I love to hear it, and it sounded good tonight, OK. Thank you for coming!"
He described the recovery as "extremely slow" and shared: "I have been quietly spending the summer recuperating at home and am feeling positive about the progress I have made in my healing and recovery thus far."
Despite battling ongoing health issues, the iconic Elton John has been globe-trotting with recent stops in New York and London to launch his new musicals, "Tammy Faye" and "The Devil Wears Prada". His non-stop lifestyle is raising alarm bells among those close to him, reports the Mirror.
A source told The Sun, saying: "Elton's friends are seriously concerned about how much he has taken on and believe it is having a major impact on his health," and explained that his inner circle is urging him to take it easy. "Quite a few people who he is close to have now encouraged him to slow down because he has been busier than ever this year."
Concerns are growing as his well-being seems to be on the decline. "He isn't getting any younger and his health has been deteriorating in the past few years."
There's talk that the whole point of Elton's goodbye tour was so that once it finished, he'd cut back on work, yet things are still as "intense" as they've always been, and according to the insider, "something has to give".
Elton's vision woes aren't his alone issue; the star has also powered through two knee replacements and a hip replacement after a tumble in 2021 forced him to postpone his tour. This was another setback following his diagnosis of Type 2 diabetes in the early 2000s.
