Eminem's mother has died.
Debbie Nelson tragically passed away at the age of 69 after a long battle with advanced lung cancer. She passed away in St. Joseph, Missouri.
The news of Debbie's severe health condition was made public in September. Despite Eminem financially supporting his mother, the 51 year old rapper had not been in touch with her or other family members in Missouri for several years.

Their rocky relationship often found its way into Eminem's music, with tracks like Cleaning Out My Closet accusing his mother of abuse and neglect, according to Mirror US reports. In 2005, Debbie won $25,000 after successfully suing the rapper for defamation over lyrics suggesting she was a drug user.
In 2008, she penned a revealing memoir titled My Son Marshall, My Son Eminem. Debbie gave birth to Eminem, whose real name is Marshall Mathers, in 1972 when she was just 18 years old.
Her death comes on the heels of the rapper announcing in his music video for Temporary that his daughter Hailie is expecting her first child. The song serves as a letter to his daughter in case of his demise.
One scene from the video shows him with Hailie on some steps. Hailie hands him a Detroit Lions blue jersey with 'Grandpa 1' written on the back along with an ultrasound.
The emotional music video also includes many home videos of his beloved 28 year old daughter. He also included a clip of himself at her wedding hugging her new husband.
In the heartwarming video, Eminem is captured sitting on the porch steps, his face lighting up as a radiant Hailie emerges holding the jersey. She takes a seat beside him, and as he reads the jersey and gazes at the ultrasound, his expression is one of pure astonishment.
