Eoghan McDermott made his first public appearance at big Dublin event since leaving 2fm.

He and his girlfriend Alessandra Heredia stepped out for Julian Benson's Winter Wonderland Gala Ball on Saturday night.

The couple flaunted her baby bump at the soirée in the Clayton Hotel on Burlington Road, Ballsbridge after revealing their pregnancy news last month.

Guests including Ireland AM presenter Elaine Crowley, Room to Improve favourite Dermot Bannon and Rosanna Davison enjoyed a drinks reception, a three-course meal, incredible auction prizes, entertainment and dancing until late all in aid of the Julian Benson Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

The Julian Benson Cystic Fibrosis Foundation is dedicated to supporting people and their families living with Cystic Fibrosis. The ball is charity’s major fundraiser and also a celebration of all the hard work that has been done as they are now very close to their goal of opening Ireland’s first home away from home Tranquility House in just a few short weeks. As people travel from all over Ireland for treatment in Dublin, Tranquility House will ensure families can be there to support their loved one when in hospital, at a time when it is most vital.

With Elaine Crowley on MC duties, guests were suitably entertained in box-office gold fashion! The Honeydews, an Irish vocal trio celebrated for their vintage jazz and swing performances, welcomed guests as they arrived, while The New Brass Kings delivered a high-energy performance of pop songs on a mix of trumpet, trombone, saxophones, sousaphone, and percussion.

The angelic voices of the Palestrina Boys Choir, the prestigious Dublin-based choir, treated guests to some festive favourites ahead of their annual Christmas concert in the National Concert Hall on Saturday 15th December, while virtuoso violinist Vladimir Jablokov wowed with his blend of classical and contemporary music. He will be performing once again at Dublin’s 3Arena, bringing his signature flair to a highly anticipated concert on December 15th, 2024.

Reel Irish Dance Entertainment were delighted to perform at the ball. Led by Sean O’Brien and his team of 24 performers, which included 12 World Champions and 12 All Ireland Champions, their routine 'Collective' was specially curated for the performance, embodying high energy, intricate technique, and melodic rhythm that fused together to represent a new era of Irish dancing.

Lifting the energy after dinner and the auction was DJ Peter Kearney, closing the evening’s entertainment line-up with excellent music tracks as guests hit the dance floor until the wee hours!

On the night, funds were raised through an auction with auctioneer Tadhg Dooley. Prizes included a Kevin Sharkey painting, a 12-carat natural diamond tennis bracelet, VIP tickets to the sold-out Electric Picnic, signed Rory McIlroy, Padraig Harrington, Tom McKibbin and Shane Lowry memorabilia, a VIP Golf stay in Carton House and ancient east helicopter tour to name but a few!
