Eva Mendes Shares the One Thing in Her Ryan Gosling Relationship That ‘May Not Sit Well With People'

Eva Mendes and Ryan Gosling prefer to keep their relationship out of the public eye — fans won’t find them on the red carpet together. Heck, the 50-year-old actress wasn’t even in the building on the night he was nominated for an Oscar for Barbie. The rumor mill likes to go into overdrive about their relationship, but she’s here to tell everyone that everything is just fine — actually steamy — with Gosling. 

The couple of 12 years may or may not be married, they’ve never confirmed their status. Still, they share daughters, Esmeralda, 10, and Amada, 8. Mendes and Gosling also have a spark that still burns brightly even after being together for over a decade. “I feel really f***ing sexy at times,” she divulged to The Telegraph. “The way my man looks at me is just … at times I’m like, oh my God. That might not sit well with people, but so much of how I feel is a reflection of what he’s giving me.”

That might be TMI to some fans, but Mendes had more to say about the hot topic. “There’s so many things that can make me feel sexy and I’d say that I feel more sexy than not,” Mendes added. “I guess because I’ve never considered myself beautiful, but I’ve always felt very sexy.” That little morsel about their relationship might be the biggest insight fans have heard about their love in years. 

The duo knew each other for years ahead of working together on The Place Beyond the Pines, the 2012 set where their romance began. “You never know what happens before. You can be friends with somebody and not like how they work, but obviously, I respect him so much as an actor and he’s certainly upped my game and everyone else’s game,” she told Film Stage in 2013. 

Gosling had equally sweet things to say about his love, sharing with GQ in 2023 that he knew that Mendes was special. “It’s true that I wasn’t thinking about kids before I met her, but after I met Eva, I realized that I just didn’t want to have kids without her,” the Oscar nominee said. “And there were moments on The Place Beyond the Pines where we were pretending to be a family, and I didn’t really want it to be pretend anymore. I realized that this would be a life I would be really lucky to have.”

So, any further gossip about Mendes and Gosling’s relationship being on the rocks should stop. The dynamic duo is not only doing just fine — their love is all sorts of sexy.
