Every Time Pamela Anderson Went Makeup-Free at Events & Looked Amazing While Doing It

Pamela Anderson is going makeup-free after years maintaining her bombshell persona and we couldn’t be happier to see her refreshing new take on her personal style. The Baywatch alum stepped out without makeup at several fashion shows in September 2023 and since then has swapped her signature look for a more paired-back, natural vibe at numerous events.

Anderson, 57, has gotten some well-deserved praise from fans for celebrating natural beauty and for daring to subvert the glamorous image she has been synonymous with since the 90s. But Anderson’s continued desire to redefine her image isn’t the only reason for her new look.

In August 2023, Anderson told Elle that she spent a large portion of her career having no input when it came to her makeup and styling. “I just went along with what people were telling me what to do,” Anderson said. Then, when her longtime makeup artist, Alexis Vogel, passed away from breast cancer, she opted to abandon her signature look. “She was the best. And since then, I just felt, without Alexis, it’s just better for me not to wear makeup.”

Anderson also told Elle that she has found her new era “freeing, and fun, and a little rebellious too. Because I did notice that there were all these people doing big makeup looks, and it’s just like me to go against the grain and do the opposite of what everyone’s doing.” She added, “I think we all start looking a little funny when we get older. And I’m kind of laughing at myself when I look at the mirror. I go, ‘Wow, this is really…what’s happening to me?’ It’s a journey.”

“I feel rooted for. I feel good. I’m in a good place.”

Anderson got major props from fellow A-listers. Scarlett Johansson called Anderson’s makeup-free appearances a “powerful” statement. Jamie Lee Curtis posted a photo of Anderson without makeup, declaring, “THE NATURAL BEAUTY REVOLUTION HAS OFFICIALLY BEGUN!” Commenting on Curtis’ post, Selma Blair called it a show of “beautiful self-assuredness,” while Chelsea Handler wrote, “That’s pretty iconic.”
