Remember Caoimhe Dillon on Fair City?

Actress Aoibheann McCaul played the role of the fiery daughter of Tommy and Judith and sister of Neasa, Dearbhla and Zak.

The Dillons first arrived in 2010 and have caused a whole lot of drama in Carrigstown.

And while Tommy currently remains the only member of the family living in the fictional Dublin suburb, Fair City fans haven't forgotten about Caoimhe in a hurry.

Caoimhe is best remembered for her relationship with Damien Halpin. The pair faced joy and heartbreak during their time together, and left viewers in tears when they suffered a devastating miscarriage in 2015.

Caoimhe went on to welcome daughter Saoirse, however there were custody issues with Damien.

Actress Aoibheann left Fair City in 2018, when her character moved to Munich to reunite with her mum Judith.

Since leaving soapland, what has the TV star been up to?

Viewers may recognise Aoibheann from another hit RTE show as she starred as Ciara in comedy series Hardy Bucks between 2010 and 2018. In 2022, she starred as Sarah in short movie What Now?.

Aoibheann still works in the creative industry as an actress, theatre maker, voice over artist and drama facilitator. She has appeared in numerous stage productions in venues such as Wexford Opera House, The Abbey Theatre, The Samuel Beckett Theatre and The Axis Theatre.

According to her social media, Aoibheann also works as a Creative Associate for the Arts Council of Ireland and has hosted residencies in the Pavilion Studio Dun Laoghaire. She has also written for the Axis, an arts and cultural centre in Ballymun.

In her personal life, Aoibheann married her husband, Meath GAA star Brian Farrell, in October 18.

The couple said "I do" in the exquisite surroundings of the private estate of Virginia Park Lodge in Co. Cavan.

Aoibheann looked absolutely breath taking in a bespoke gown designed by Irish designer Dawn Fitzgerald.

She was surrounded by close friends and family, including former Fair City co-star and on-screen sister Aoibhin Garrihy.

Speaking about married life shortly after her nuptials, Aoibheann told the Irish Mirror: "It's the exact same to be honest. We got married and you know we did the quick few days and the mini-moon and then we went straight back into work, both of us.

"So it feels, you know getting married, and all that was never a big thing for me, it wasn't something that I felt that I really needed but it was something that we decided to do.

"I was never one of these girls waiting for it or looking to settle down. But it was just something that we decided to do. But it was never going to change things for us. I mean, we were already living together before, so it is all the same."

Members of the Dillon family have popped in and out of Carrigstown over the years, so could a permanent Fair City return be on the cards for Caoimhe?

Aoibheann said in 2018: "I'm not sure it's open ended so we will see what happens."

Following this, Caoimhe briefly returned to Carrigstown in 2019 as part of Fair City's 30th Anniversary celebrations, but Aoibheann hasn't appeared on the soap since.
