Garcelle Beauvais Explains Not Reaching Out to Dorit Kemsley After Split With PK

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast is bringing the drama this season. The dynamics are shifting in the group. Dorit Kemsley’s split from PK Kemsley seems to be the catalyst for her beef with Kyle Richards. But there is also conflict between herself and Garcelle Beauvais, which, given their interactions last seasons, isn’t surprising.

During the most recent RHOBH episode, Garcelle came to Kyle’s defense by questioning Dorit’s social media involvement with Teddi Mellencamp. Now, she shares more about their conflict, and why she did not reach out when the Kemsleys announced their split.

Despite not reaching out, Garcelle Beauvais “felt for” Dorit Kemsley

During a recent episode of the RHOBH After Show, Dorit revealed that out of the entire cast, only Erika Jayne and Kyle checked in on her after she and PK revealed their choice to separate.

“We weren’t in a good place after we finished the reunion, so it would have felt very hypocritical,” Garcelle told Deadline. “I felt for her, and I said so in when I was interviewed on red carpets, but it would have felt hypocritical if I reached out to her because we weren’t in a good space.”

The RHOBH favorite added that she and Dorit “had a few little bumps” this season. Indeed, it’s started already. Garcelle and Dorit acknowledged their issues during the episode, but there is still work to do before resolution.

But Garcelle confirmed that a resolution is coming. She confirmed to Deadline that, “we got to a better place.”

“It’s really hard to tell you [as] the season is new,” the Bravolebrity added. “I don’t know what’s being said, whether online [or] offline, so hopefully one day we can resolve it and be friends.”

This comment does bring up the issue of the impact interviews and social media activity have on the cast. Often, Real Housewives are fighting over what was said in either forum in between seasons. It’s hard to keep the conflict within the Bravo vacuum.

As for Dorit and Garcelle’s friendship, fans will have to wait to see how they work it out as Season 14 progresses.
