A Florida woman is now behind bars after police allege she stabbed a pregnant woman over 14 times over a $2 tip.
These days, anything can be ordered to your house at the press of a button without a second thought. Depending on your level of technical expertise, you can even let delivery drivers enter your house without being physically present. However, the same convenience that is offered to use thanks to big tech still poses a huge risk.
You never really know the person behind the delivery or who you’re about to meet.
According to TMZ, a pregnant woman from Kissimmee, Florida was attacked after a delivery driver allegedly wasn’t pleased with her tip amount. Police were called to a motel and found Melinda Irizarry suffering from 14 stab wounds.
Once Melinda was out of surgery, she reportedly informed the police that Brianna Alvelo was the attacker. Reportedly, when Brianna delivered the pizza totaling $33.10, Melinda handed her $50, and she tried to walk off with the change.
Melinda reportedly found change and gave Brianna enough for the order and a $2 tip.
Later in the evening, two people busted in the hotel with one toting a gun. They demanded her boyfriend go into the bathroom while Brianna allegedly went through her purse. She was reportedly stabbed multiple times while shielding her daughter from harm.
Eventually, police determined the suspect was the delivery driver after reviewing security footage.
