Google announced ‘Help Me Write’ feature and ‘Refine My Draft’ in August 2024. Now the tech giant has enhanced the features with its AI capabilities that will change the experience of writing emails. The company has introduced a ‘Polish’ shortcut on web within the ‘Help Me Write’ feature which will refine emails faster. The feature is available for Android and iOS users both.
The feature uses Artificial Intelligence to create high-quality content for emails. It can elaborate, change the wording, regenerate, or change the tone of your emails.

Help Me Write on Web:
You will be able to find the feature on web within the body of the email when an email draft is empty. The Polish feature will appear as a refined version of your email just below the body of your mail with 12+ words. In addition, you can just type Ctrl+H and it will automatically suggest you a polished version of your mail.
Help Me Write on Mobile:
As earlier, the feature will continue to appear within the body of the email when it is in draft version. Just like web, it will suggest you 12+ words for the polished version and will enable when you tap on a refinement chip, including Formalize, Elaborate or Shorten.
How to start Help Me Write Feature:
The feature will be on ON mode by default and there will be no admin control for it.
STEP1: Open your Gmail and click on the compose button at the right corner of the screen.
STEP2: Now, write your email within the box opened in front of you.
STEP3: Once you finish writing your emails, tap on the ‘Help Me Write’ option
STEP4: It will suggest you several sentences that suits your needs. You can select anyone of the sentences. In addition, you can elaborate, shorten, or add details based on your preferences.
STEP5: At last, insert it in your draft and send it.
